Oregon Military Department
40,000 sf
Estimated completion in Spring of 2012

In an effort to strive for design excellence, the Oregon Military Department selected THA and Lease Crutcher Lewis as part of a design-build team for a 40,000 sf facility. The Colonel Nesmith Readiness Center will provide administrative, training, recruiting and family support space for the 162nd Combat Engineering Company of the Oregon National Guard. The project includes educational classrooms, a library, a learning center, a physical fitness area and a vault and weapons training simulator. Reminiscent of both the traditional armory and grange, a large assembly area will be available to the community for gathering, concerts, and other public events. This facility will be both welcoming and secure, celebrating the beauty of the Willamette Valley and fitting gracefully within its surroundings. The Readiness Center is aiming for a LEED Gold certification or better.
