Cyan/PDX is a progressive living concept, built with green technologies and building innovations. The 16-story building houses 353 urban homes in downtown Portland, a vibrant urban neighborhood with great transportation options. Cyan's dynamic design is a direct response to the active pedestrian and vehicular activity surrounding the building. The "weave" pattern of windows creates a tapestry of constantly changing light patterns, and a connecting plaza creates a variety of exterior spaces from ground floor units' private terraces to a large public terrace. Cyan received a 2009 AIA Portland Chapter Merit Award.
Sustainable Design Highlights:
On-site rainwater storage; non-toxic finishes and regionally sourced materials; energy-efficient appliances; water conserving fixtures; an eco-roof on the podium; 100% fossil-fuel free with all power provided through existing "green power" programs; 95% of construction waste recycled.
Certification: LEED Gold
